renovate v. 房子的修復，翻新。 I spent thousands of dollars to renovate my house.
refurbish v. 再裝修，翻新。The company spent thousands of dollars to refurbish the offices.
furbish v. 裝修。給新買的/新租的房子買家具就是furbishment
retrofit v. 改型，添加房屋原來沒有的器材。比如安裝供暖器材就是 retrofit heating system, 安裝墻身保溫就是 retrofit wall insulation, 安裝雙層玻璃窗 retrofit double-glazing。retrofit這歷奇本可以被install替代掉。
