独角鲸可能是世界上最神秘的动物之一，它们只生活在北极水域，速度极快，神出鬼没，又叫海洋独角兽。在中世纪，独角鲸的牙被当作独角兽的角远销欧洲和东亚。

·虽然叫独角鲸，但是那个不是角！！是牙齿！！！是左侧的一枚向外生长的牙齿！！
这个牙齿主要不是用来所谓的破冰或是捕食，而是独角鲸的神经感知器官（
innervatedsensory organ）的作用，上面分布了上百万的神经末梢。用来感知周边海水的环境，从而刺激大脑做出反应，同时现在猜测它们互相摩擦「角」是一种交流行为。但是偶尔它们也利用「角」做出富有攻击性的行为
